The company had an immature data setup with incomplete on-premises data warehouse, low data quality, and multiple data silos across different business units.

Solution

We built a scalable, GDPR-compliant data tech stack for the new data warehouse, enabling secure storage and efficient data management. As part of our efforts towards data democratization, we ensured that data is findable, understandable and accessible to all relevant stakeholders in the organization. We established data landing zones to all business units, providing a platform for exploration and experimentation with data. Moreover, we implemented a virtual Data Academy for employee training and upskilling.

Data became a commodity across the organization with hundreds of daily users. This enabled product innovation through ML/AI development, product experimentation, and data-driven business development. The solution drove significant business growth and new layers were added to the data stack, including a data hub, experimentation platform, and machine learning platform. A new DIY product had to be developed to support small and medium businesses in growing their business through digital marketing activities. Data played the core role in building the right product recommendations and tracking online performance.

Solution

We embedded in the organization, built from scratch a full data stack with end-to-end capabilities covering data engineering, analytics, ML engineering, etc. Defined KPI to track success and data visualization solutions were tailored to each business function to ensure data-driven decision-making. Data organization design was built to start creating internal capabilities and become independent. 

Impact

The new product was launched in less than nine months and exceeded targets threefold. Product user feedback loops were created and integrated in the agile product development cycles resulted in significant improvements in product iterations. Data driven decision making to assess and prioritize features was implemented.
